With the development of agricultural mechanization, the application of drying mechanization is gradually increasing. However, the mechanized drying of agricultural products consumes more energy, which not only increases the cost of mechanical drying, but also goes against the energy policy of "energy saving and emission reduction". Therefore, the "energy saving and emission reduction" of mechanized drying of agricultural products is an important development direction.

     A heat pump is an energy utilization device that consumes a small amount of high-quality energy (mechanical energy, electrical energy, etc.) or high-temperature thermal energy. Since the energy required for the operation of the heat pump is only a part of the total energy it provides, it has a significant energy saving effect. The general heat pump drying technology can achieve energy savings of at least 30%. At the same time, the heat pump has the characteristics of "low temperature, safety and environmental protection", which is very suitable for the drying needs of agricultural products. If the heat pump is operated under reasonable planning, the heating coefficient of performance (COP) of the heat pump can be greater than 3; if it can actively replace traditional electricity, gas, diesel boilers and other heating systems, it can save agricultural users' energy and operating costs by half More than one, the results are amazing.

     Since the heat of the heated air in the heat pump drying device mainly comes from the sensible heat and latent heat contained in the warm and humid air discharged from the recovery drying chamber, the energy that needs to be input is only the power consumption of the heat pump compressor, and the heat pump consumes only a small amount of work. The advantage of producing a large amount of heat, so the energy-saving effect is very obvious. At the same time, the closed heat pump drying of agricultural products has a very good protective effect on the environment, and the drying of agricultural products will generate a large amount of dust because it is rice drying, which is a disadvantage that ordinary mechanical rice drying systems cannot solve. Using heat pump equipment, the drying medium can be circulated into a closed type to prevent dust from polluting the environment and improve the working environment.

     The excellent energy-saving effect of heat pump drying technology has been proved by various experimental studies and practical applications. With the continuous improvement of energy-saving and emission-reduction requirements, the improvement of energy-saving and emission-reduction levels in the agricultural product drying industry is the general trend. Strengthening the research and development of heat pump drying technology and equipment, gradually bringing heat pumps to the market, and upgrading and transforming old equipment will surely promote China's agricultural product drying energy conservation and emission reduction level to a new milestone, and contribute to energy conservation and emission reduction.
